Kursum Book One Complete Hausa Novel
He had just stepped down from the plane. One look at him was enough to tell that he was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He was tall, fair-skinned and extremely handsome, with large, attractive, sexy eyes.
A driver came to pick him up from the airport and drove him into Bauchi city, taking him straight to the hotel where he would be staying.
Only a few hours later, he had already freshened up and dressed in casual clothes that made his good looks stand out even more. He called his friend Huzaifa so they could drive around and see the city.
After touring around for a while, they stopped at an eatery to get something to eat.
Elsewhere, Kursum and her friend were walking together and chatting.
Kursum complained, “Honestly, I am tired of all this stress. Every day, we are the ones being sent on errands. The other students are back in the hostel while we are here supervising the school’s food supplies until everything is taken into the kitchen.”
Sumy replied, “Come on, Kursum. What is so bad about it? At least it is something we will be rewarded for, and besides, we got the chance to see the town.”
Kursum hissed.
“Then you can go alone. I am going to check out the place where people play with the monkeys.”
Sumy merely shook her head and continued on her way. She was already used to her best friend’s behaviour.
That was Kursum.
A beautiful seventeen-year-old girl who disliked unnecessary noise or trouble. But if anyone provoked her, she would fight back with everything she had.
That was simply who she was.

KURSUM

“Honestly, this town has some seriously beautiful girls,” Yazid said. “Before I leave, I should at least find myself a babe to have some fun with.”
Huzaifa hissed and looked at him.
“Yazid, you are still the same person. Always playing around with women. I do not know when you are ever going to settle down. I just pray Allah brings the woman who will finally cure you of this behaviour.”
Yazid laughed.
“There is no woman alive who can change me. In fact, I do not even take women seriously. To me, they are nothing more than clothes you change whenever you feel like it.”
After completing the task she had been assigned, Sumayya stopped by the eatery to get something to eat.
The moment she entered, her eyes met his.
“Wow!” she exclaimed silently in her heart. “This guy is seriously hot. He is unbelievably handsome.”
She had not even finished admiring him in her thoughts when he suddenly greeted her.
Startled, she quickly composed herself, returned his greeting and politely greeted him.
With a charming smile, he said, “My name is Habib.”
That, of course, was the name Yazid had chosen to give her.
He continued, “I hope you will not be too stingy to tell me your name too.”
She smiled.
“My name is Sumayya.”
“Nice name, Sumy,” he replied. “Where do you live? I noticed you are wearing a school uniform.”
She explained that their school was located not far from the area and mentioned the director.
“Okay, I know the school,” he said.
Then a mischievous smile appeared on his face.
“I noticed that you seem to like me, but you are very quiet. I hope you are going to accept my proposal.”
Sumy lowered her head shyly, her heart overflowing with happiness.
At last, she thought, she had found the Prince Charming she had always dreamed about.
Yazid brought out a beautiful and obviously expensive silver ring and slipped it onto her finger as a symbol of the love he claimed to have for her.
Sumy thanked him.
She then told him she had to leave because evening was approaching.
“When are we going to see each other again?” he asked.
“We can meet here again tomorrow,” she replied.
“Alright. May Allah keep us alive until then.”
She left.
As soon as she was gone, Yazid smiled wickedly.
It was obvious to him that the girl was naive.
“There is no doubt I am going to get exactly what I want from her,” he thought.
He walked outside to meet his friend Huzaifa, who was already furious after waiting so long for him.
Huzaifa shook his head.
“May Allah guide you.”
“Ameen,” Yazid replied casually.
Then they left together.
But where was Kursum?
Who exactly was Yazid?
And who was Sumy?
What brought Kursum and Sumy to a boarding school that was hardly different from an orphanage?

KURSUM

It was almost evening before Kursum finally returned.
She found Sumy lying down, smiling to herself and repeatedly closing her eyes dreamily.
Kursum gave her a playful smack.
“What is wrong with you? Why are you smiling like a Christmas goat? Or has Baba arrived in town?”
Sumy grinned.
“Forget about that. I made a new catch today! The guy is unbelievably handsome, I swear. I already feel this strange love and affection for him running through my heart.”
Kursum twisted her face in disgust and hissed.
“You had better stay away from love while you still can. Men cannot be trusted. For all you know, he could even be a useless womanizer.”
“Not my Habib,” Sumy protested. “I know he loves me. We even agreed to meet again tomorrow.”
Then she turned pleadingly toward her friend.
“Please, Kursum, help me. Come with me tomorrow. Please, my sweet sister.”
Meanwhile, Yazid was lying comfortably inside the luxurious hotel room where he was staying.
From the way he was speaking, it was obvious that he was on the phone with someone.
“Come on, Zee, please calm down,” he said. “I already told you that I would be back in four days. You are putting too much pressure on me.”
Zee replied, “But Ya Yazid, you were supposed to return yesterday. Wallahi, I miss you so much. Kano has become unbearable without you.”
“Yesterday I even went to your mother’s house and spent the whole day there hoping I might see you, but nothing. And all your phones were switched off.”
“Please forgive me, my love,” Yazid replied. “I will return as soon as I finish what I came here to do. I have just been extremely busy.”
“Fine,” she said, “but you are promising me that you will definitely be back within four days, right?”
“Yes.”
He ended the call.
Yazid sighed.
“Zee, your demands are becoming too much. But I really do have to return soon because Dad does not even know that I am away from home.”
