The Girls Sit Together in the Courtyard

The house was undeniably beautiful.

Three young women sat together in the middle of the courtyard, each completely absorbed in her mobile phone.

One of them wore a yellow Ankara dress decorated with pink stripes. She was busy chatting on her phone.

The second wore a blouse and skirt made from a small-patterned fabric. She appeared relaxed as she concentrated on a mobile game.

The young woman in the yellow Ankara dress looked towards Fatima, who was wearing the blouse and skirt.

The young woman in the jersey stood up.

“I am leaving. You can continue your conversation from wherever you stopped.”

Ummi Accidentally Collides With Rashid

She began walking towards the main living room.

As she entered, she suddenly collided with someone.

The powerful fragrance of his perfume immediately told her who he was.

“Oh no. I am in serious trouble,” Ummi whispered.

Before she could move away, the young man slapped her three times and forcefully threw her onto the floor.

Her body landed heavily with a loud sound.

He stared down at her angrily.

He refused to allow her to finish her explanation.

He slapped her two more times before turning around and walking away.

Ummi cried uncontrollably after he left.

The sound of her cries attracted other members of the household, who quickly gathered around her.

“What happened?” they asked repeatedly. “Are you all right?”

However, Ummi was too overwhelmed to answer them immediately.

The Family Reacts to Ummi’s Condition

A beautiful woman dressed elegantly in traditional Hausa clothing approached the gathering.

“My daughter, tell me who attacked you,” she said. “Was it Rufa’i, Ma’aruf or that other bad-tempered young man?”

Ummi wiped the tears from her face.

“Yes, Mama. It was Yaya,” she answered.

“I was trying to enter the living room when we collided. He then slapped me five times.”

Mama stared at her in disbelief.

“What? Did you say five times?”

Her expression immediately changed.

“I swear that there will be trouble in this house today. Rufa’i, call him for me immediately.”

A Conflict Begins Between the Two Mothers

Maryam stepped forward angrily.

“It appears that many people will become angry today,” she declared.

Mama turned towards her.

“What exactly do you mean by saying that many people will become angry?”

Maryam did not attempt to hide her position.

“I swear that if you upset my son, I will also deal with this foolish girl.”

The atmosphere inside the house immediately became tense.
