It was an enormous and highly protected residence. A single look at the magnificent building was enough to reveal that it belonged to an extremely wealthy family.

I quietly looked deeper into the compound so that I could bring you a detailed account of what was happening inside.

I saw a young adult woman standing alone. She appeared to be in her early twenties. One glance at her revealed that she was deeply frightened and confused. Her eyes moved restlessly in every direction as though she was desperately searching for somewhere to escape.

A sudden cry from another section of the house made her run towards it. Before she reached the room, however, she heard loud, disturbing, and intimate sounds coming from behind the closed door.

She tightly shut her eyes as hot tears streamed down her cheeks.

The same troubling conduct had already driven her away from the section of the house where she normally stayed. She quickly fled towards another wing, only to discover that the situation there was no different.

Once again, inappropriate sounds came from behind another closed door.

She dropped to her knees and began crying silently. She had never been able to accept the immoral lifestyle practised within her family home.

There appeared to be no difference between day and night, although the disturbing activities became far worse after darkness fell.

Almost every night, the occupants remained awake until morning, repeatedly engaging in the same secret misconduct.

Every section of the enormous residence presented her with the same painful reality. The atmosphere left her emotionally distressed, confused, and desperate for somewhere peaceful to hide.

Whenever she attempted to escape to her grandmother’s section, she found the young men of the household gathered there. From their expressions, it appeared that they too had fled from the troubling behaviour taking place in their respective family quarters.

There was no peaceful or secure place within any of the three sections occupied by their parents. Wherever she went, the same misconduct continued throughout the night until dawn.

Inside one of the rooms, Kulu and Malam Dahiru remained consumed by their private and inappropriate behaviour. Their loud conversation and complete disregard for everyone else made their actions impossible to ignore.

The young woman stood outside in tears, wondering how a family known publicly for wealth and respectability could conceal such a disturbing life behind its walls.
