She was taken to a private hospital close to their home, where she was immediately given emergency treatment.

Meanwhile, back at the house, preparations began for Alhaji Dan-Kasa’s body to be washed and laid to rest.

Alhaji Ibrahim Dan-Kasa was a well-known man whose name was recognised both within and outside Nigeria. His main business was the sale of cotton, along with several other investments.

He owned a designer-jeans company in California, rental properties in many locations, and numerous other assets with which Allah had blessed the family. He also owned many large cotton farms.

Originally, they were Mambilla people from Adamawa State. There were three siblings in their family: Gwaggo Haulatu, the eldest; Daddy; and Alhaji Kabiru.

Their parents had died while they were still young. However, their father had been a farmer who left them a considerable inheritance, so they all lived comfortably.

Alhaji Dan-Kasa had one wife, Hajiya Mariya, and only one daughter, Samira, who was now eight years old.

Samira was a child raised in luxury and surrounded by the care of her parents. Because she was the only child Allah had given them, she enjoyed every comfort life could offer.
