Kuyanga Book One Complete Hausa Novel

Kuyanga Book One Complete Hausa Novel continues nearly five months after Prince Anwar returned to Nigeria. He had grown tired of living under constant restriction.

He could no longer visit nightclubs, pursue women or enjoy the reckless lifestyle to which he had become accustomed. There was no opportunity because people watched his every movement.

Even if he travelled outside the city, King Abdallah could receive reports about his behaviour. Anwar knew that he would be accused of disgracing the royal family, which was why he preferred living abroad.

Rihanna Threatens to Follow Anwar

Rihanna continuously pressured him to return to Europe. She warned that if he refused, she would pack her belongings, travel to Nigeria and search for him wherever he might be.

Anwar became deeply worried because he knew she was capable of carrying out her threat. He also understood that if Rihanna appeared at the royal palace, his situation would become extremely difficult.

With no other option, he began packing the belongings he intended to take with him. He had promised Rihanna that he would return within the week and had specifically told her that he would leave in two days.

As he considered how to persuade King Abdallah to allow him to travel, Anwar headed towards his mother’s section of the palace. He wanted to discuss the matter with her so that they could find a solution together.

Prince Anwar Walks Through the Palace

Anwar walked arrogantly through the palace courtyard. An expensive fragrance surrounded him as he moved with the confident swagger of someone dressed in magnificent royal clothing.

Male servants and female attendants continued with their duties. Whenever they passed him, they respectfully lowered themselves and greeted the prince whom everyone expected to become the future king.

Suddenly, one particular kuyanga caught his attention.

He stared at her as she swept the area where the royal horses were kept. Her head was uncovered because the small veil she had wrapped around it had slipped off without her noticing.

She was fair-skinned and shapely, with wide hips and a full figure.

When she raised her head and prepared to leave the area, Anwar called out to her.

She immediately ran towards him. With complete obedience, she lowered herself and offered a respectful greeting.

Anwar studied her closely before speaking in his usual slow and arrogant manner.

“What were you doing over there?” he asked.

Her voice trembled as she tried to answer.

“I was… I was sweeping the area,” she stammered.

“Is cleaning the horse area part of the female attendants’ duties, or is it the responsibility of the male servants?” he questioned.

She bowed her head and lowered her voice.

“May Allah protect the prince. Please forgive me. It is not my responsibility. I was only helping Mahbub because he had gone to attend to an important matter,” she explained.

Anwar Questions the Mysterious Maid

“Mahbub! Who is this Mahbub?” Anwar demanded.

She began stammering again because she thought she had committed another offence.

“He is my close friend and adviser. We arrived at the palace at the same time. He often helps me with my duties, so I decided to help him with his own work,” she explained.

The manner in which she spoke fascinated Anwar. Her lips were shaped as though someone had carefully drawn a heart, and he fixed his eyes on them as they moved gently with every word.

When she stopped speaking, Anwar also became silent. He simply continued staring at her while different thoughts formed inside his mind.

After noticing his silence, she quickly raised her head because she assumed he had already left. Instead, she found him standing in the same place and watching her.

She immediately lowered her eyes again to prevent their gazes from meeting.

“What is your name?” Anwar asked.

“My name is Kuyanga,” she answered.

Anwar frowned slightly.

“I asked you to tell me your real name. Kuyanga is not a personal name to me. It is a term used for a female servant or slave,” he explained.

“My name is Zeenatu,” she finally revealed.

Anwar nodded without saying anything else. He walked past her while continuing to consider the thoughts that had entered his mind.

Anwar Visits Ummah in Kuyanga Book One Complete Hausa Novel

When Anwar entered his mother’s private chamber, he found several attendants serving her.

One attendant massaged her feet, another gently fanned her, while others peeled bananas and handed them to her one after another.

As soon as Anwar entered, the attendants respectfully greeted him.

He acknowledged their greetings with a slight nod.

Ummah pointed towards the door, silently instructing them to leave and give her privacy with her son.

After the attendants had departed, Anwar adjusted his sitting position.

“Ummah, good afternoon,” he greeted.

She smiled proudly.

“Good afternoon, my source of pride—the crown prince and future king, by the will of Allah,” she replied.

Anwar smiled.

“My mother, the one who always wipes away my tears, I have brought another problem before you today. I know that if the decision depended entirely on you, you would immediately remove my worries. It is only His Majesty whom I fear,” he said.

“Tell me what you want. Whatever it is, I will do it for you or ensure that someone else does it,” Ummah assured him.

Anwar Asks to Return to Europe

“Ummah, I want to return to Europe. I am tired of remaining in Nigeria. I do not go to work, and I hardly leave the palace. I spend almost every day at home without doing anything, and the loneliness is becoming unbearable. Please speak to His Majesty and persuade him to allow me to travel,” Anwar requested.

Ummah smiled confidently.

“Consider it done, my prince. When do you want to leave?” she asked.

“I have arranged to travel the day after tomorrow,” he answered.

“The day after tomorrow? Is that not too soon? Even I do not want you to remain far away from me. Besides, you are expected to inherit the throne. One day, the royal council might decide to install you as king, only to discover that you are unavailable,” Ummah warned.

“Do not worry about that, Ummah. When the time comes, I know I will have no choice but to remain here permanently. For now, please do everything possible to help me leave,” he pleaded.

“Do not worry. You should consider yourself already on the journey. I will speak to His Majesty about it today,” she promised.

Anwar smiled.

“Thank you, Ummah. However, there is one more thing…”

He suddenly became silent and scratched the back of his head.

“Go on and tell me,” Ummah encouraged him. “Why have you become quiet? Whatever you want, nothing will be too difficult for me to provide.”

Anwar Requests Zeenatu as His Attendant

Anwar lowered his voice.

“I saw a young woman outside among the palace attendants. I want her to travel with me and keep me company by serving me while I am abroad,” he revealed.

Ummah smiled.

“That is not a problem. Every servant and female attendant in this palace is under your authority. You have the right to choose any of them. Consider it settled as though you have already travelled with her,” she said.

Ummah leaned forward with interest.

“What does this young woman look like?” she asked.

Anwar immediately began describing Zeenatu to his mother…
